Mourning Pages
A Widow's Journey of Healing...
About the book
Mourning Pages is more than a book. In it, Bryna shares her journey through loss, with stories, prompts, and journal space for readers to find comfort, reflection, and healing after loss.
“If I’d had a book like this at my fingertips when my husband died, I would’ve learned that other men and women have the same fears I did, and made similar if not identical mistakes. I would have known others celebrate the things they do by themselves for the first time, like one celebrates the first steps taken by a baby. I might have felt less alone, less unsure of myself. I would have learned that “good” friends disappear, sometimes because they fear you will go after the very mate that yesterday they admitted to wanting to be rid of; and others stay away as if death is something contagious. I would have known it is OK to say, “No, you don’t!” when someone well-meaning says, “I know exactly how you feel.”
Grief doesn’t have a time limit. Writing will give you a way to get the words out long after others are unwilling to listen. I once read, “Every end is a new beginning.” It really is true… Prepare yourself to celebrate the life you have ahead. Moving on is the gift you give to yourself…
Love, Bryna
